The following general guidelines and procedures
are applied on all rental cases:
RENTER'S and DRIVER'S AGE
All drivers must be 18 years
or older.
DRIVER'S LICENSE
Driver must have valid driver's permit.
DEPOSIT
The cost of rental, is payable on check-out time.
A security deposit of US$1000.00 is required for all rentals (payable
by cash or credit card)
GASOLINE
Renter pays for the gasoline consumed during the
rental.
ACROSS THE BORDER
RENTALS
Vehicles are to be used within
the borders of Belize. Any Rentee wishing to take the vehicle outside
the borders of Belize must obtain consent from the Renter.
TAXES
A sales tax of 8 % applies.
TRAFFIC FINES/VIOLATIONS
Rentee is responsible for any traffic tickets or violations
and must inform the Renter of any such traffic violations or tickets incurred
during rental. Any accidents must be reported to the Police immediately
and the Renter must be advised.
CANCELING FEES
In case of canceling 3 or more days before the starting
day, NO cancellation fees are charged. Otherwise, 25 % of total
amount is required as canceling fees.
